After Indian cinema, it is Indian
television that is going places. Zee TV’s popular show ‘Pavitra Rishta’
bagged the special jury award at the Seoul International Drama Awards
2010, which aim to identify the best international television dramas.
‘Pavitra Rishta’ is set in Dombivili , Mumbai. It is the story of a middle-class girl, Archana’s, attempts to lead a happy married life. This also involves winning over her estranged husband and making a place in her mother-in-law’s heart.
Zee TV’s programming head Sukesh Motwani said in a statement published in hindustantimes.com, “The beauty of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ lies in its simplicity. We were confident that the show would captivate the audiences in India. But the honour at Seoul Drama Awards comes as a delightful surprise.”
