Dale Schroeder did not have the typical Iowa childhood. He was born to Anna Schroeder of Clarion, Iowa on April 8, 1919, just in time to come of age during the worst economic crisis in American history, the Great Depression.

Those of us who knew Dale and are honor-bound to help fulfill his dream, now invite you to explore the possibilities he offers. If you qualify, compete with others like yourself, and are selected, the Dale Schroeder Memorial Scholarship will allow you to attend the Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, or the University of Northern Iowa for your undergraduate experience. The worries and challenges you and your family face during that time will not include finding the money necessary to afford the education you deserve.
