He doesn’t shave because she loves his stubble, flies down from Mumbai to surprise her on her birthday and the two can’t take their eyes and hands off each other — yet, actors Ashmit Patel and Veena Malik call their equation everything but love.
“I had a wonderful birthday. Ashmit came over from Mumbai to surprise me,” says Malik, who celebrated her 27th birthday on Saturday in Delhi at Ramada Plaza hotel.
As the two cosy up after the cake-cutting, Ashmit says he can’t label their relationship. “If she wants to hug me or hold my hand, she will — ashmit-veena people can talk all they like. She’s special to me. There’s a big ‘if’ to what happens next.”
To which Malik adds, “There is something very special between us, a very strong chemistry,” she says.
