Pratigya with a TRP of 5.21 is now No 1 Show

STAR Plus’ primetime show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya had a TRP of 5.21 last week, making it the number 1 show on STAR Plus.

“The audience likes the show because the current track is interesting. The fans will be happy to witness Krishna and Pratigya get together,” said Pratigya (Pooja), adding that she would personally like to thank the fans who have supported the show from the beginning. “Thanks for all the love and support and my fans will be happy to see Krishna and me coming closer,” she said.
We also caught up with Krishna, who said that he was happy to know that the show has topped the TRP charts. “I would like to thank Pearl Ma’am for giving me such a unique role on television. I feel blessed to be part of such a wonderful show,” he said.
Pearl Grey, the producer of the show said, “The show has reached a point, which has drawn the audience. It’s a tough moment in Pratigya and Krishna’s life, when they realise the love they have for each other, as well as how Krishna’s family has been plotting to finish off Pratigya. This drama has been full of twists and turns, which has had the audience glued to the show.”

In the current track, Krishna’s friends and Pratigya go in search of Krishna and Pratigya finally finds him. To know what happens in the reunion, watch Mann ki Awaaz Pratigya every Monday to Friday at 10.30 pm only on STAR Plus.

Pratigya Harrased by Eve Teasers at Night

Pratigya, the protagonist of the show, who has been a victim of eve-teasing on the show doesn’t take it lying low. She fights against it and makes sure that the culprits repent their wrong-doing. But Pratigya’s valour and confidence isn’t limited to just on-screen. In real life too she stands tall against the miscreants. Pratigya slapped a guy today morning on her way back home from the shoot. Reason the guys eve-teased her and passed lewd comments at her.
Says Pratigya, ‘’After shooting the entire night, I was returning home. I was hungry so thought of dropping by a popular vada pav chain and munch on a vada pav. There is a college nearby and so the place was crowded with college students. They recognised me and started discussing the show and my character. I was overwhelmed to receive rave reviews for the show from them. But there was a group of three guys who were standing at a distance of 10 feet from the stall. They too recognised me but what irked me was their lewd and filthy comments directed towards me. One of them said that I looked 'like an item in real life too' to which other responded saying that 'Krishna must be having fun shooting with me'. Their comments were vulgar enough to instigate any girl for summoning them. I went up to them and slapped one of them hard across his face. But this didn’t deter them a wee-bit as the other guy said something again. I argued with them about their bawdy behaviour towards girls.’’
‘’I was later told by the girls standing near the stall that those boys have been troubling them too and have been passing vulgar comments at them too. They have been eve-teasing them all this while. I was aghast to know that till date nobody had gathered the courage to stand up to these road-side romeos and as if they were waiting for me to teach these guys a lesson," adds the girl.
Apparently, Pratigya has never ever faced an ugly situation of being teased by guys till now. And this was the first time she was at the receiving end of it. The girl says that she was shaking after the incident for a while but was later calmed down by her mother. ‘’Anger was building up inside me even after I had slapped the guy. I was taken aback by their audacity. I was shaking after the incident and was a little nervous. My parents are proud of me but my mother got a little tensed. She was worried as she felt that this might malign my image as a celebrity. I am still getting flashes of the incident that took place a couple of hours ago,’’ quips Pratigya.
Pratigya feels that girls should stand up for themselves and fight against such miscreants. Pratigya feels that a brave act put up by the girls can help the society get rid of such problems. Says she, ‘’I wish the girls who had been victimised by these boys had taught them a lesson before I landed in the tight spot. I would like them to stand up for themselves against all these social demons,’’ signs off Pratigya.
Pratigya clearly understands her responsibilty and practices what she preaches on screen. Hope we too take a leaf out of her diary.

Catch Pratigya in action every Mon-Fri at 10:30 PM on STAR Plus.

Pooja Gor aka Pratigya is Brave

The 19 year, young girl Pooja Gor who has now become a household name through her strong and vigilant role of Pratigya through Star Plus well-liked show Mann Ki Aawaz Pratigya; today early morning had to stand by her character to fight back against some local eve teasers.

Behind every preacher follows a sound which says 'Charity begins at home'. But to do so even the preacher has to have the guts and confidence which our juvenile lady Pooja Gaur did portray early this morning.

Reciting the incident Pooja said, "It was early in the morning post my shoot when I was headed towards my house I just thought of having a quick vada pav bite from a nearby stall; and I was happily gathering some admiration and appreciation from the religious followers of the show."

"Amidst which some eve teasers standing at a distance of 10-15 steps started passing rude comments about my on screen chemistry with Krishna aka Aarhaan Behll and even approached me using slang like 'Item'; that just pissed me off so in a complete furious and hot head mood I moved towards them and warned them. But when they didn't stop remarking me with vulgar talks I just slapped one of the guys who was abusing me verbally", adds Pooja.

When asked how did the offender retaliate back she asserted, "In complete anger I did slap him but then after some seconds a frightful shiver did pass through my nerves but luckily he just walked off."

On inquiring the reaction of the onlookers present at the location she said, "As it was early in the morning there weren't much people around but after the scene some girls came up to me saying that these guys tease all the girls everyday but no one had the guts to fight against them. To which in a very humble tone I made them understand that if you follow my serial so religiously then why don't you understand the message it's trying to send across, fight for your rights?"

When asked about her final retrospect about the whole incident she smiling said, "I firstly would like to thank my producer Pearl Grey for help me sink in the character so much. Today I can proudly say I live my role and though it sounded like a self promotion of my serial Pratigya but it surely was for a good cause" and she signed off.

Hats off to Pooja Gor's bravery!
