Salman Khan may have introduced The Great Khali with intense eagerness and animation but was he aware how much was he costing the bosses? WWE wrestler The Great Khali has, as all know, been a smart move by the bosses of Bigg Boss 4 to harvest some extra publicity and maintain its TRP, especially, after a slump was noticed in the ratings since the commencement of Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 4’.

However, Khali has been making a huge hole in the producers’ pockets since this gigantic man comes at a gigantic price. Reportedly, he commands nearly 40-50 lakh rupees per week and this is a whopping price considering the weekly rate of other inmates hover between 2-25 lakhs.

And though the hype surrounding Khali’s entry did initially woo the audience and triggered the general mass interest; now the buzz is going down and with nothing exciting happening around him, his presence is weighing down on the producers’ minds (and their pockets).

Khali is not exactly a scandal-making person and quietly stays withdrawn in his exercising activities. Hence, after a certain point of time, it becomes mundane and repetitive watching him and even boring despite his magnificent proportions.

And as he continues to dig deep into the producers’ vaults, looks like the Khali trump card may have eventually backfired. And if the murmurs are to be believed, then, soon the situation may arise where we shall see Khali making his way out leaving a huge area of space vacant and abandoned.

Great Khali has a Great Paycheck in Bigg Boss 4

The Great Khali, who's getting special treatment from one and all in the Bigg Boss House, is taking home the highest-ever cheque paid to a participant in the show. According to reports, the WWE champion is being paid Rs 40-50 lakh per week. He was given a down payment of Rs 50 lakh which is over
and above the weekly payment.

Inmates are normally paid a signing amount apart from the weekly payment until they are evicted. The signing amount ranges from Rs 2 to Rs 25 lakh depending on the market rate of a celebrity.

The weekly payment ranges from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh per week. However celebs like Shweta Tiwari and Manoj Tiwari who are established get five lakh per week, according to sources.
While rest of the inmates think that Khali is in the house as a normal participant, in reality, channel sources say that he won't be staying for long and would opt out citing personal reasons.
Now that's a game plan!

Bigg Boss welcomes WWE Superstar The Great Khali and announces that Khali and Captain Rahul Bhatt will be the first ones to eat before others resume their food. Bigg Boss announces the process of nominations for the week and requests all the housemates to gather in the living room. Bigg Boss also announces that WWE Superstar The Great Khali is barred from being nominated and will also not be part of nominating a housemate. Bigg Boss calls in the housemates in batches of 2.


Bigg Boss calls Rahul in the confession room to hand over the note on the task for the housemates. The task requires the housemates to print Bigg Boss currencies worth over 50 Lakhs. Till the conclusion of the task the housemates are required to eat from the same utensils provided by Bigg Boss except for WWE Superstar The Great Khali and Captain Rahul Bhatt!
