Shahrukha Khan and Aishwarya Rai Nominated For Worst Actors Of The Year 2011

Golden Kela Awards, the Indian version of Razzies, which are very popular awards in the West for awarding the worst in the film making industry are back with special awards in their 3rd season.

After wasting hundreds of hours and thousands of rupees watching all these failed experiments of filmmaking, the time for vengeance has arrived. Get ready to get even with the 3rd Annual Golden Kela Awards for the Worst of Indian Cinema in 2010.

Ash2010 was an exceptional year for Bollywood (even by Bollywood standards), with a huge number of insane, inane and indubitably mind-numbing films being released – from My Name Is Khan to Tees Maar Khan.

The nominations are out and voting lines are open. Jatin Varma, Founder, Golden Kela Awards, urging people to cast their precious vote, said “Last year about 3,00,000 people got revenge on Bollywood. And the movies weren’t half as bad as this year! So we’re expecting a lot more people to vote. Hopefully enough to make our ‘filmmakers’ sit up and take notice.”

The 3rd Annual Golden Kela Awards will be hosted by the King of Nonsensical Humor, Cyrus Broacha, on the 12th of March in New Delhi.

On being asked why he’s a part of the Golden Kelas, Cyrus replied “I have no choice as I owe money to two of its founding members.” As for his views on the event, he says “The Kelas are very important. Kelas were carefully selected as they are a symbol of energy. It is a fervent hope of the organisers to inject energy back into contemporary films.”
